In case you are looking for simple designs, especially for both decorative purposes and ventilation, then stamped sheets will offer a better alternative. Furthermore, you can also achieve intricate patterns; however, the perforations due to stamping may interfere with the structural integrity of the sheet.
On the other hand, embossing stainless steel sheet produces a decorative finish with unique patterns. However, embossing will not interfere with the structural integrity of the stainless steel sheet. We recommend embossed stainless steel sheets for architectural designs.
But more importantly, through embossing stainless steel sheets, you also get other functional features such as slip-resistant properties.
The thickness of your embossed decorative stainless sheet will depend on your project requirements. For decorative and architectural applications, we recommend you choose between 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm. However, if your project requires specific requirements, then you can also opt for 2.5 mm or a customized option.
While cleaning and maintaining embossed stainless steel sheets, it is important to avoid abrasive cleaners, wiping against the grain, or using harsh chemicals. All these will certainly damage the decorative stainless steel sheet.
When it comes to cleaning, we recommend you have a regular schedule. That is, dusting the surface weekly, cleaning with mild soap once every month, and conducting deep cleaning after 3 to 4 months.
Alternatively, you can add nano-coatings such as anti-fingerprint coating, physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings, or clear films. However, you can do this after every 6 to 12 months.
Now, for cleaning these decorative stainless steel sheets, you have three options:
- For regular cleaning, use a microfiber to remove dirt. Then apply mild soap and water as you scrub the surface gently. Rinse the surface and allow it to dry.
- When there are fingerprints on the surface, a 70% isopropyl alcohol or any specialized stainless steel cleaner will do the work.In case of discoloration on the surface, mixing vinegar will remove the stains.
- For deep cleaning, you will start by removing loose debris, after which you will apply specialized stainless steel cleaning solutions. There are many commercially available options. You will then use a soft-bristle brush to scrub the embossed patterns. Lastly, rinse the surface andallow it to dry.
